this is the globe in the middle of that famous skate spot at
flushing meadows, queens, nyc. below this globe, in the ground
is where i shot the portrait of derrick. when i was here they
were doing some construction around the area. now i hear that
they are quite possibly goinf to be removing the globe. when i
read this i was heartbroken. this massive monument is an
amazing piece of art. it is overwhelming. it saddens me that some
one may not be able to experience it. keep the world alive.
